Very few Universities have a scenic
location which imbibes aesthetic culture in the students. Dev Sanskrit
Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar is one of such Universities which is placed in a Holy
Land, in Uttarakhand, Established by the Act of Uttarakhand Government in 2002,
the University is situated on the banks of the much worshipped and holy river,
Ganges. The Dev Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya Campus is one of its kinds and is
modern and has all the modern day facilities. DSVV is acknowledged by the
University Grants Commissions. The Trust, Sri Vedmata Gayatri takes care of the
University. The trust belongs to Shanitkunj, Haridwar. Holistic development of
the student in encouraged in this University, and the students are personally
taken care of by the Chancellor in the session with the Chancellor. A no
ragging environment has been set up which enables the student's t grows without
fear. Boarding and lodging is provided to the students free of costs along with
free medical care. It is the first University to revive the notion of Gyan
Diksha in India after long which again enhances the spiritual self of a
student.

The DSVV Campus is situated at a
distance of 7 km from the Haridwar Railway station while going to
Dehradun-Rishikesh on the Delhi-Niti Pass Highway. It is spread over an area of
82 acres of land.

DSVV offers a variety of courses
starting from graduate, post graduate, Certificate programs and research
programs in several disciplines which include Psychology, Yogic Science, Indian
Culture, Oriental Science (for the Post Graduate student). The mandatory
courses are Life Management and Scientific Spirituality for all the courses.
A three month internship program is
scheduled for the students after the completion of the course. Research in the
field of Behavioral Yogic Sciences, Oriental studies, Vedic Sciences is also
encouraged. For those of you who cannot avail classroom education, Dev Sanskrit
Vishwavidyalaya also offers distance learning courses which have been designed
keeping in mind the schedule and circumstances of a professional and are no way
lacking behind when compared to classroom education. The provided study
material makes education simple and enhanced, and interesting as well.
